35. Mysterious Padmakumara Indeed

A group of True Buddha School disciples in an Islamic country applied to register with the government as a religious organization. The Religion Division questioned, ''What deity do you worship?''

They responded, ''Padmakumara.''

''But we have never heard of any Padmakumara in Buddhism.''

The disciples calmly took out a Buddhist sutra, and surprisingly two pages mentioned Padmakumara.

The division official who considered himself knowledgeable enough about Buddhism was dumbfounded on seeing this.

In the end?

Of course, it was approved.

Here I must digress to talk about a famous classic novel, ''The Investiture of the Gods.'' It is only a novel which may not qualify as evidence.

However, the novel mentions ''Padmakumara.''

It describes the presence of ''Padmakumara'' in the Western Paradise. Padmakumara caught an evil Taoist of the Jie Religion with a large cloth bag and kept him inside the bag. The conquered evil Taoist was transformed into millions and millions small black insects.

''Padmakumara'' returned to the Western Pure Land with the bag. He accidentally let out the insects that ate three of the twelve levels of the pure land resulting in only nine remaining lotus born levels.

It turned out that originally the west had twelve levels. Three were eaten by the small black insects transformed from the evil Taoist. Since then it has become nine lotus born levels.

The author of ''The Investiture of the Gods'' was Lu Xixing. Based on my knowledge, all characters in the book had some background and allusions. They were either Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, immortals, or gods. All characters have profound Buddhism or Taoism skills. It is a collection of both Buddhist and Taoist characters.

Zhunti Daoren originated from Cundi Bodhisattva;
Wenshu Guangfa Tianzun, Manjusri Bodhisattva; and
Cihang Zhenren, Guanyin Bodhisattva.

The revered Seven Buddhas are all included in the book.

Even Taoism founders Tongtian Jiaozhu, Yuanshi Tianzun, and Lingbao Tianzun, as well as the master of the founders, Hongjun Laozu, all appear in the book.

In addition, the Immoral Queen of ''Jade Pond Golden Mother'' is included.

Among the characters, ''Padmakumara'' is also listed; although he is not mentioned much his significant status is alluded to.

Therefore, I dare to ask Lu Xixing, the author, what is the allusion of ''Padmakumara?''

Moreover, I want to tell everyone a big secret. After Buddhadharma was transmitted to the east, artists decorated historical caves based on characters in Buddhist sutras. Some of them are most famous.

Inside one of the most famous caves, there are carved statues. The statues are not anyone else but ''Padmakumara.'' In fact, the entire cave was filled with artifacts of ''Padmakumara.''

True Buddha School disciples, if you look carefully, you can find ''Padmakumara.''

Additionally, in the biography of Padmasambhava, the Second Buddha of Urgyen, it mentions a character, who is also ''Padmakumara.''

I once said that, Vairocana (Maha vairocana) emanated into Buddha-locani. Both the eyes of Buddha-locani transformed into Maha Twin Lotus Pond with Padmakumara in the pond.

There are 36 trillion 119 thousand and 500 Amitabha Buddhas who all have the same name and alias, therefore, Amitabha is not only one but numerous. As a matter of fact, numerous Amitabhas also mean numerous Padmakumara!

''Padmakumara'' is the alias of ''Amitabha.''

A buddhist had written many letters insisting on getting to the bottom of this. He asked which sutra? what cave? what is the grotto number? The more anxious he became, the more I wanted to tantalize him. I deliberately will not tell you. You go find out for yourself!

My seeing ''Padmakumara'' is genuine. It was absolutely not a falsehood.

However, it is more worthwhile if you find out for yourself. Where there's a will there's a way. Notify me please when you do find it.
